If you’re looking for the best views in Puerto Rico, there’s nothing better than a high vantage point to truly take in the beauty of Puerto Rico. Here we’ve put together a couple of adventures that will raise the bar in terms of the best view and more.
Up, up and away…
Mountains offer great views, but how about a mountain with a huge helium balloon on the top? If you want to experience this marvel you have to head to the town of Jayuya where you’ll find one of the largest helium balloons in the world; 100 feet high, 98 feet wide and it can fit 28 people. This is a tethered balloon atop a 3,200 foot high mountain that rises 500 more feet (50 stories) so you can see the Atlantic from the center of the Island’s mountain range. You get to enjoy 360 degree views in your 8-10 minute ride. Truly one of the best views in Puerto Rico.
Important: Flights are weather dependent so it’s best to call ahead to make sure conditions are right. This is also the reason they don’t take reservations. But have no fear, even if you don’t get to ride the balloon there’s 3 zip lines in the same park.

A table with a view, a great view
How does a flying brunch, happy hour or dinner sound? The FlyDinning experience is located in San Juan. Here a table for 24 people is raised by crane and flies 100 feet in the air. You can choose from a 4 course dinner that lasts approximately 55 minutes. The cost includes house beverages but most reviews suggest to add the premium drink package. A 3-course Brunch is also available on Saturday and Sunday. Brunch lasts 45 minutes. You could also just opt for an afternoon Happy Hour at 4pm that lasts 35 minutes. Either way you get to see lovely views of the Atlantic and the San Juan skyline from a unique perspective.
Located on Loíza Street in Santurce

Helicopter tours
If you don’t want to be tied to a crane or a mountain why not take to the skies with a Helicopter Tour. There are two operators that offer a variety of tours. You can book a short trip to see Old San Juan from the air, cruise along the coast to see the reefs and the beaches or even book a culinary tour where you’ll fly over mountains or along the coast to one of six exquisite restaurants. Then you’ll have two hours for your meal before the return trip.
