From one of the largest shopping malls in the hemisphere to local craft stores located in historic buildings, Puerto Rico definitely has something to offer to every shopper. Islanders like to keep up with the latest fashions, and our stores reflect a fine eye for style. 

There’s a shopping destination in the Metro area to suit your style. Here’s a couple of quick suggestions: 

 OLD SAN JUAN  

Hundreds of small, interesting shops line the streets of the Old City great for a walking shopping tour. Designer Oulets are right next to spice shops and local handicraft stores. THe main shopping streets are Cristo, Fortaleza, and San Francisco, although there are things to be discovered on the side streets and the occasional artisan markets that are held. 

 CONDADO  

Avenida Ashford in Condado is considered the heart of San Juan’s fashion district. Oceanside strips here are lined with clothing boutiques, jewelry stores, surf shops, restaurants, and gift shops. The lovely Condado park known as Ventana al Mar features several popular businesses perpendicular to the beach, and in front is 1054 Ashford Avenue, one of the Caribbean’s most high-end district, with famous luxury stores. A little farther east, along Avenida Ashford, closer to the San Juan Marriott Resort & Casino, are the one-of-a-kind clothing boutiques that make this neighborhood worth a visit.  

 LOÍZA STREET  

Near Ocean Park has been transformed into a trendy spot for new culinary, art, and shopping proposals for both locals and international visitors. Here you can find high-end fashion designers such as Harry Robles colliding with eclectic second-hand and vintage shops like Vice Versa or chic boutiques such as Moni and Coli, and Nude. If you are looking for something unique, come here, San Juan’s trendy uptown!
