Color Caribe Art and Music Fest
Puerto Rico is and always will be a very creative Island with plenty to do and see on the art and music scene. Here’s a colorful way to experience what the Island has to offer. Color Caribe Art and Music Fest is a 2 weekend long (17-19, 24-26 Nov.) celebration of tropical art, music, food and fun. In this free event in Dorado, recognized urban muralists will display their work on repurposed shipping containers. Artists include tatoo artist Juan Salgado, Gerardo Cloquell, Deider Ortiz, and the female art collective known as Moriviví along with Dovente from the Dominican Republic and Inti Castro from Chile.
Two weekends of music
This family event in its 3rd year also features more than 30 musical acts. They range from Puerto Rican rock, tropical music to urban beats. Headliners inlcude Rawayana, PJ sin Suela on the urban side and Fiel a la Vega and paopao, a Latin Grammy Winner with a reggaetón/alt pop mix.
Kids and Pet friendly
Even the kids will have entertainment. A couple of shows and fun workshops and interactive things to do. It’s a pet friendly so bring your furry friend and spend the day enjoying music, art and food.
Close to Metro Area
So head on out to the Parque Agroturístico Ecológico y Recreativo El Dorado. You’ll find it at the entrance of the town of Dorado on Route 165. It should take you about 20 minutes from San Juan. Get on 165 from Cataño and enjoy the seaside route. Take a walk along the bayfront so you can check out another view of El Morro Castle and Old San Juan. The Casa Bacardí tour is also on the way (just saying…)
