Come for the games, stay for the food!

Many people come for the board games but at the Bunker Board Café they take great pride in their food and offer a variety of specials every day. The menu is filled with outstanding comfort food with a twist along with Puerto Rican classics. They offer all day breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Waffles at 8pm? No problem, or have the salmon for breakfast, why not? Life’s for having fun and doing what you want. Sunday brunch with 2×1 Mimosas is another popular choice and full of savory favorites.

Local and Continental comfort food

Some of the local classics are based on the owner’s mother’s recipe. It’s Puerto Rico comfort food. These include appetizers such as the empanadillas de carne or meat turnovers. On the dinner menu local dishes include Bistec encebolla’o, a delicious slice of beef smothered in sautéed onions. Another local favorite is spaghetti with amarillos or yellow plantains. These give the dish a sweet and savory twist to this Italian favorite. There’s also great variety with Tuna Tartare, Mac and Cheese with truffle oil and pizza are also available along with soups, salads, and a variety of hot and cold coffee concoctions. Be sure to ask for the dessert options before ordering your meal. (In order to reserve some real estate in the belly)

And something for the kiddies

A kid’s menu is also available with chicken tenders, sliders, mac and cheese along with grilled chicken and arroz con habichuelas or rice and beans (using a family recipe). For the much older kids, a great selection of cocktails are available from the full service bar along with beer.

Special dates such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and more inspire special celebrations and menus. Just so you have an idea, last year’s Halloween celebration lasted the entire month of October.
