There’s a song in Spanish that begins with “En el mar la vida es mas sabrosa” or Life tastes better at sea. Luxury, private yacht charters to a small island in the clear Caribbean waters is a great way to savor the best in life.

Yacht charters in Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico’s east coast is blessed with nearby islands that offer perfect Caribbean enjoyment. If you want to make your experience even more special, a private yacht charter for your group is the way to go. One of Places to Go’s favorite charter companies is Aventurea Charters. They go beyond being excellent navigators to also provide a very welcoming and fun experience.

Service makes a difference
Perfectly timed cold beverages, water toys and suggestions set Aventurea apart from the usual charter providers. You’ll notice the difference from your very first contact and their extremely accommodating and caring nature. Depending on availability you could be on the water tomorrow! They will readily take care of special requests such as decorations for an anniversary celebration, bachelorette party or wedding proposal. They’ve even arranged a multi-boat NFL team excursion complete with DJ’s, catering and unique decorations.

Always the perfect spot
Part of Aventurea Yacht Charters magic is their thorough knowledge of the waters. Their years of experience in the area makes it easy for them to always select the perfect anchorage for comfort, safety, snorkeling and enjoyment. Guests always marvel at how crystal clear the water is since you can see the bottom in 15 feet of water.
Marine life
Expect to see some aquatic friends on your trip. People regularly catch sight of dolphins, sea turtles, plenty of fish and even some remoras all from the boat. Once you dive in with a mask and fins you’ll discover a whole new underwater world full of smaller reef fish. You’ll swim with damsels, butterflyfish and angelfish among the reefs. The longer Culebra and Vieques trips anchor in marine reserves that are teeming with life.

All the toys
Besides snorkeling gear, the charter boats come equipped with pool noodles for floating in the warm waters and large floating matts that can be tied off the back. Aventurea can also arrange for the rental of SeaBobs or handheld propulsion devices, as well as jetskis and even tubing equipment. Just ask when you book your charter. If you have any special requests they’ll try their best to fulfill them.

Eat, drink and be merry
Every yacht charter includes water, soft drinks and beer. You’re free to bring your own drinks and ready made food that can be reheated in the microwave. For your convenience, Aventurea Charters also offers catering services with both a tapas menu or a more extensive Chefs menu. Both include a welcoming charcuterie, cheese and fruit platter. The tapas menu is ideal for the shorter trips as you get to choose 5 options served throughout your trip. The choices include Crab salad stuffed plantains, ceviche, Tempura shrimp, fresh hummus with pita or even pepperoni pizza and beef sliders. The more extensive chef’s menu lets you choose two tapas and a main course such as Skirt steak with mamposteado rice, Salmon or even lobster. Dessert options include Creme Brulee, Flan or even chocolate cake and ice cream. Yum. If you have any special food requests or dietary restrictions they will do everything in their power to make them happen.

The fleet
Aventurea’s fleet features some of the newest yachts available. The largest boat, a Sea Ray 55 named Wonder, offers a great outdoor space with a covered circular table that can easily fit parties of up to 12 people. An ample forward deck is great for sunbathing and a rear swim platform gives easy access to the water. Another boat in their fleet is a Sea Ray 51 named Believe. This powerboat can handle groups of up to 10 in comfort. It also features a covered lounge area, swim platform and forward deck. Both boats offer air conditioning down below, refrigerators and 120v power along with a bluetooth equipped sound system. Beds for naps are also available and both have two heads or bathrooms.

The newest arrival is a smaller center console Proline 34 for smaller groups up to 6 people. This fast and stable powerboat can put you real close to shore and is excellent for shorter 4 to 5 hour trips to Icacos and Palominos. Aventurea can also arrange for additional boats for your group including catamarans that can handle up to 30 people. They aim to please and know how to make things happen so don’t hesitate to ask.
