The elite windsurfing waveriders of the world are showing off in the waves of the North and West coast from March 2nd to the 9th at the Puerto Rico Tourism Company Presents the Puerto Rico Windsurf World Cup. Many of the top ten ranked athletes of the world are participating in this 4 star event. Up for grab are World Cup points at this competition in Puerto Rico.
A world class windsurf event
Men and Women athletes from Spain, Japan, France, Italy, Guadalupe, Saint Martin, Puerto Rico and the US are going head to head to see who will be the king of the waves. To make things even more attractive $10,000 in prize money will be awarded.

Conditions are expected to be good for the event. Moderate winds and varying wave heights are expected throughout the week. The forecast for Saturday includes higher winds and the promise of large swells produced by a North Atlantic storm.
The World Wave Tour
This is the Caribbean stop for the premier global tour showcasing the best wave-riding talent at spectacular locations around the world. Stops include Australia, Chile, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Maui and more.
The Puerto Rico World Windsurf Cup venue
The event began in Mauizapa in Vega Baja and from March 3rd to the 9th it will be held in Shack’s Beach in Isabela or Surfer’s Beach, Aguadilla. You’ll find links below. Bring your beach chair, cooler, sunblock and get ready to watch the top waveriders in the world in an amazing location.
