The Christmas festival season kicks off with the Calle Loiza Culinary Fest held the second weekend of November. The 2025 version kicks off this Sunday the 16th. At this annual street fest the entire length of Loíza Street between De Diego Ave. and Tapia Street becomes one walkable culinary, musical and shopping experience from around 1pm to 10pm. This family friendly event brings boasts three stages at different points of the street with up to 6 different musical artists each.

A great way to try new restaurants
Loíza Street has become a culinary destination and this Fest is a celebration for all the restaurants that line the street. More than 100 are participating with many setting up roadside booths so you can sample select items from their menu at attractive prices. You can spend a whole day walking and sampling as you listening to great music. The bar scene is also very present and as you make your way down the road you’ll find plenty of tasty libations to quench your thirst.

Creative Christmas shopping made fun
At the Calle Loiza Culinary Fest you can also get a head start on your Christmas Shopping. All along the street you can find artists selling their creations, plenty of jewelry options even vintage clothing and artisans with amazing handcrafted works of art.

And the bands played on!
For the musical offerings you have three stages to choose from, each with their own vibe. You’ll find them at either ends of the closed-off street and in the middle. Each of them will feature 5 to 6 different artists or DJ’s throughout the day. The more popular artists will be the closing acts around 9pm at each of the stages. The full list of artists is published to the fest’s social media a couple of days before the event.

Take a leisurely stroll
The best way to experience the Calle Loiza Culinary Fest is to walk and pause. Start at one end and slowly work your way to an interesting food stand, sample what tickles your fancy, wash it down with a cold beer and people watch for a while. Half the fun is the crowds that attend. You’ll ses everything from entire families to tourists visiting and old friends who haven’t seen each other for years. This fest has a fun almost neighborhood get together vibe to it.
