Pickleball everywhere
Whether you believe the name came from Pickles, the creator’s dog or from the unpicked rowers in practice sessions who ended up together on the “pickle boat”, the reality is that this phenomenon is also a fast growing sport in Puerto Rico. Right now there are over 30 courts available in neighborhoods, sports centers and even seasonally in the Mall of San Juan, (look for Pickleball at the Mall). Most major tennis centers around the Island have courts available for rent and offer classes.
The best source of info is the Puerto Rico Pickleball Association that organizes tournaments and more. A lot of the Pickleball Centers can be found on social media.
