The Pride Parades
Condado and Boquerón
Everybody loves a parade especially when it’s full of color, costumes and more. This June 4th the Pride Parade takes over Ashford Avenue with plenty of marchers, spectators and a very enjoyable crowd. It starts at Parque del Indio, the eastern most point of Ashford Ave. and slowly and musically makes its way to Parque del Tercer Milenio. Here there will be a stage right next to the beach where all the revelers will congregate to continue the party. Pick a spot on the Avenue and enjoy the sights, sounds and decorations as hundreds of people make their way through Condado.
But wait…there’s more Pride to celebrate in Boquerón.
Many of the revelers continue on to the southwest corner of the Island to a small seaside town called Boquerón. They’re on a mission to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Orgullo Boquerón” (Boquerón Pride). This year the celebration starts on Thursday, June 8th and continues (sometimes non-stop) until Sunday. A parade, drag shows, a huge dance party and live music will spice the party atmosphere and allow all people to celebrate being who they are, full of pride.
